On October 26, 2006 The Chesapeake Crime Prevention Council hosted its annual Kids night with McGruff at the Grassfield Ruritan club. The kids enjoyed a great time with McGruff the Crime Dog. The party is a fun way for children to enjoy Halloween, and it gives the council a chance to pass along information and safety tips to families. Jo-Kell provided the hot dogs, buns, grill and some great volunteers to cook and help out at the event.

The Chesapeake Crime Prevention Council (CCPC) is a non-profit organization located in Chesapeake, Virginia. Working hand-in-hand with the Chesapeake Police Department and the Chesapeake Sheriff's Office to educate and inform the citizens of Chesapeake about crime, crime prevention and Neighborhood Watch/Block Security Program.
