CEO Suzy Kelly receives the Julian F. Hirst Award

Chesapeake, VA (December 29, 2007) – Suzy Kelly, CEO of Jo-Kell Inc., a local electrical distributor and engineering company received the Julian F. Hirst award at the 19th Annual Leadership Breakfast, on June 28th of this year. The event was held at the Renaissance hotel in Portsmouth, Virginia.

The award is named after Julian F. Hirst whose experience and dedication as a Virginia public administrator extended beyond Hampton Roads. This honor, presented by Lead Hampton Roads, a program of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, is awarded to individuals for their distinguished service to their community.

Kelly’s service to the community includes; The Chesapeake Policy Department Advisory Board, Women Impacting Public Policy; Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, Chesapeake Division; Rotary Club; Lead Hampton Roads and co-founder of Leadership Chesapeake (currently Ignite Chesapeake). Community service continues to be a priority for Kelly.
