Chesapeake Business Teaches Success through Leadership

Chesapeake, VA (July 23, 2013) – On a summer day, which most local teens would spend at the beach or sleeping in, ten rising high school seniors took the opportunity on July 18, 2013, to visit woman-owned small business, Jo-Kell Inc. The participants of Aspire, a group of Chesapeake’s brightest young women, were provided with a positive female role model to help accomplish the goal of developing future leaders through self-esteem and public service.

Special Olympics Benefit from Jo-Kell, Inc. Employees’ Swim

Chesapeake, VA (February 22, 2013) – Over 3,000 people took a chilly afternoon swim Saturday February 2nd for the 21st Annual Polar Plunge for the Special Olympics of Virginia. Participants set a new record, raising over a million dollars for the year-round program, which provides athletic training and competition events for individuals of all ages with intellectual disabilities.
