Employees Collect Over 700 Toys for Local Charity

Jacksonville, FL (January 10, 2011) – Employees of Jo-Kell Inc., a local electrical distribution and engineering company, along with customers, vendors and friends helped collect over 700 toys for the SafeHouse of Jacksonville’s annual toy drive.

Bikes, stuffed animals, trucks and many other toys were donated during the week of December 6. The toys were then delivered to SafeHouse on December 13, in time for their 10th annual Christmas party.

Each year, SafeHouse hosts a Christmas party where the donated toys are given to children in the Jacksonville area. The children, whose ages range from 3 months to 13 years old, are given the toys of their choice, a grab bag, a book and snacks.

“Even in these tough economic times, our employees are generous in their giving to others,” said Jo-Kell’s CEO, Suzy Kelly. “Each year, employees look forward to helping others who are less fortunate, especially children,” Kelly added.
